Established in 1977, La Casa Cultural Center is a three-story, 19th-century red brick house space located at 301 Crown St. New Haven, CT 06510
La Casa is open weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and closed on Saturday and Sunday. The Center is designed for students to socialize, plan activities, cook together in a fully-equipped kitchen, attend events featuring visiting scholars, and in general just come together.
Students who visit the Center enjoy an ever-expanding library of books and resource materials to learn about Latine and Latin American culture, a computer room in which to compose papers, check e-mail, and conduct online research. Also available is a large multipurpose gathering space; offices; and student lounges.
The center is also open to the New Haven community members.
